Bristol Respite Rooms offers short stay accommodation and support for women experiencing multiple disadvantage including homelessness and domestic abuse/sexual violence. The housing and support element of this service is being recommissioned and is funded by the Homelessness, Rough Sleeping and Domestic Abuse Grant from MHCLG. Specialist IDSVA support is provided by an experienced provider funded by Public Health.
Bristol Respite Rooms aims to provide safe accommodation and intensive support, drawing on multi-disciplinary input from sector wide services. Women benefit from trauma informed support to assess needs and secure move-on to appropriate, sustainable accommodation. The contract requires providers to have an identified building, approx. 10-12 bed, to deliver this service.
