The intended framework will provide Contracting Authorities with a compliant route to market for over labelled medicines. Over labelled medicines are prescribed and issued largely at ward level or within clinics. This reduced the need for patients to take prescriptions to a pharmacy or hold up procedures in clinics as the medicines are readily available.
