High Peak Borough Council and Staffordshire Moorlands District council wish to appoint a suitably experienced and competent provider through a competitive tender exercise to complete the roll out of the employability and skills project.
The purpose of this specification is to enable High Peak Borough Council and Staffordshire Moorlands District Council (working as a Strategic Alliance) to commission a service provider(s) to deliver an Employability and Skills programme as part of our UK Shared Prosperity Funding across both the Staffordshire Moorlands and High Peak local authority areas in 2024/25.
The UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) is a central pillar of the UK government’s Levelling Up agenda and a significant component of its support for places across the UK. The objectives of the UKSPF are:
• Boost productivity, pay, jobs and living standards by growing the private sector, especially in those places where they are lagging.
• Spread opportunities and improve public services, especially in those places where they are weakest.
• Restore a sense of community, local pride and belonging, especially in those places where they have been lost.
• Empower local leaders and communities, especially in those places lacking local agency.
