Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB) has a number of benchtop sterilizers
throughout its community dental service sites. Within these facilities, there are a number of
Benchtop sterilizers differing in type and manufacturer.
CTMUHB is seeking to employ a specialist & competent contractor to undertake the annual
validation, verification and maintenance of its small sterilizer’s in accordance with Welsh Health
Technical Memorandum (WHTM) 01-05, Decontamination in primary care dental practices and
community dental services. The purpose of annual validation is to produce a documented
procedure for obtaining, recording and interpreting the results required to establish that a process
will consistently yield a product complying with predetermined specifications
