Our client aimed to secure a position on the Denbighshire Voids Framework, bidding for two Lots. Lot 1 involved general building works for void properties in North Denbighshire, while Lot 2 covered general building works for void properties in South Denbighshire.
They approached BWL to support their tender submission for this strategically important framework. Having collaborated successfully on a recent construction and restoration project in Wales, our client trusted BWL’s expertise to deliver a winning bid within a tight 12-day timeframe.
Our Approach
Thorough Tender Document Analysis & Storyboarding Prep
BWL started the process by thoroughly reviewing the tender documents, including specifications and terms and conditions, to ensure compliance and mitigate any potential risks to the client. Then, a full storyboarding process of the required responses commenced, covering the eight key areas of the submission. The tender required responses on Qualifications, Peaks in Demand, Programme, Site Management, Health and Safety, Quality, Organisation (staffing and subcontractors), and Community Benefits.
Tender Response Development & Review
Using pre-existing bid library information we had developed for our client on previous projects and bids, the BWL team tailored responses to demonstrate operational processes and align with the tender specifications. A Teams meeting with our client’s Managing Director allowed for clarification of details and filling of any gaps prior to drafting.
Our client also provided a Programme of Works document outlining staffing, skills, tasks, and timelines for property management and repairs. To meet page restrictions and showcase their credentials, BWL developed clear, impactful infographics and charts that highlighted the company’s capabilities. Once drafted, the submission underwent internal review by a Senior Bid Consultant, and then the final responses were shared with the client for review and approval ahead of the submission deadline.

The Managing Director successfully secured positions on both Lot 1 and Lot 2 of the Denbighshire Voids Framework. This success strengthens their presence in the region and provides new opportunities to showcase their expertise in void property management and building works.
