BANK OF ENGLAND
These contracts are for the supply of network services and goods over 4 years with the option to extend for a further 2+2+2-year period. The estimated total contract value is £20m (across all contracts). The contracts will be for up to four suppliers, but as a minimum two different suppliers for the services.
Services are to be delivered in the UK (UKI). The aim is for a minimum of two contracts to be awarded by Q3 2027.
The Bank’s mission demands uninterrupted connectivity across its estate, even in the face of physical disruption, cyber threats, or supplier failure.
The proposed dual-supplier/dual-contract model is designed to ensure that each location benefits from redundant, independent connectivity, such that failure in one provider’s infrastructure does not compromise the Bank’s operations.
The services are split into Four Lots:
Lot 1 & Lot 2:
To provide Wide Area Network (WAN) connectivity between each of The Bank’s Offices & Data Centres. The services will need to be awarded to one supplier per service, as the same supplier cannot provide WAN under LOT 1 and 2.
Lot 3 & Lot 4:
To provide High-capacity Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) to the Bank’s Data Centres and Offices. The services will need to be awarded to one supplier per service, as the same supplier cannot provide DIA under LOT 3 and 4.
