Bob Williamson Park in Hambleton, Lancashire has a young children’s area. The area needs to be made more inclusive through the joining of the existing soft pour base activity islands and benches using similar soft pour surfacing – this is currently grass and makes the area less usable during periods of heavy rain especially for those with prams or disability equipment. Further the metal entrances need to be replaced to make them accessible by all. The Council are also looking to add further play equipment for use by children less able and to replace the existing roundabout with an accessible version.
Required –
Provision and installation of around 240 sqms of black wetpour.
Provision and installation of 2 accessible park gates approximately 1m 20cm high.
Provision and installation of a roundabout suitable for use by both able bodied and less able bodied children.
Removal and disposal of all waste.
Provision of safety fencing for during the works.
Provision and installation of additional play equipment suitable for children of all abilities.
