Nathan is an Associate Solicitor within BWL’s Construction and Projects Team.

Nathan started his legal career in 2017 dealing with costs in industrial disease claims. This was Nathan’s introduction into dispute resolution, and he has not looked back since. Nathan completed his legal training at a regional law firm in Leeds where he spent most of his time in the commercial litigation team dealing with a wide range of commercial disputes. Nathan also spent time working on a UK wide public inquiry.

Nathan joined BWL in 2021 as a Solicitor in the Dispute Resolution Team. Nathan has experience in contentious construction and property disputes including adjudication, arbitration, and litigation. He provides commercially minded advice to clients and manages legally complex and technical cases. Nathan is an advocate for dispute avoidance and alternative dispute resolution when appropriate.

Nathan has a First Class Hons MLaw (Exempting) Degree from Northumbria University.

Nathan’s experience includes:

• Advising a large UK based contractor on a potential breach of an NEC3 Contract.
• Coordinating a team conducting a large-scale disclosure process including over 50,000 documents within a high value arbitration
• Litigating on behalf of a medium sized main contractor within the residential building sector on a boundary dispute
• Adjudicating on behalf of specialist subcontractors in the groundworks and fire safety industries
