Jas qualified as a solicitor in April 2016 and has a Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB Hons). Jas joined the BWL Group in December 2021 as an Associate Solicitor and was later promoted to Senior Associate. Jas has spent 7 years in private practice and also assisted a team of property lawyers as a paralegal for 2 years before commencing his training contract.

Jas specialises in Landlord and Tenant matters, acquisition and disposal of commercial and mixed-use property and land, dealing with commercial leases, option agreements, overage agreements and title splitting projects. Jas also has experience in working on secured lending and refinance.

Jas joined the Property Team at a time when the team was being restructured and has been a key member to the growth of the team and continues to develop his skills in property matters and title splitting.

Jas’s experience includes:

• Acting in a property development matter to include acquiring a mixed-use property and acting on the refinance of the client’s existing properties to facilitate the acquisition.
• Acting on the disposal of leasehold units for a developer client who acquired the freehold interest and obtained planning for development into residential apartments.
• Acting for a large investor client to acquire a block of 40 residential apartment with specialist bridging finance and to arrange the splitting of the title for each apartment into 125 year leases.
• Acting for a company who has entered into supply contracts with a government company to provide asylum accommodation by way of entering into commercial leases with hotels and guest houses.
