David joined BWL in 2022 and, as a Senior Bid Writer, is responsible for producing high-quality bid responses. This includes completing a detailed analysis of tender documentation, storyboarding responses using input from the Client, and writing responses to the highest possible standard every time.
With a background in print journalism, David has worked in bids for over 4 years and delivered training, coaching and ongoing support for bid teams on procurement processes.
In his role, David is focused on coordinating input from management, technical, and operational SMEs to source key information and produce high-quality bid responses that adhere to the requirements of the ITT and align with the evaluation criteria.
His bid writing experience spans a broad range of sectors, including nuclear energy, construction, healthcare, transportation, and facilities management. He has also supported successful bids in central and local government and large-scale infrastructure.

- Transport Scotland’s A9 Dualling Tomatin to Moy infrastructure project (£185m)
- Security fencing installation, maintenance and repair services for TfL (£24m)
- Landscaping and restoration of Grosvenor Square Gardens (£9m)
- Emergency drain clearance and underground drainage repair contract (£5m)
Qualifications:
- BA (Hons) Business Management – Teesside University
- APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ)
- NCTJ Diploma in Journalism – The College of Media and Publishing
