AMP8 is now underway, meaning we can expect to see an increase in projects and tendering opportunities from water companies across the UK.
A selection of the new and upcoming opportunities available to potential bidders includes:
Dwr Cymru Cyfyngedig – AMP8 Water Network AllianceDŵr Cymru Cyfyngedig (DCC) Welsh Water intends to initiate a tender process to secure delivery of Water Network Alliance works from 2025 for up to eight years. DCC is currently reviewing the precise structure and nature of works to be undertaken, to enhance, maintain, and extend its current water network assets. The tender is split into three Lots: Lot 1 – Metering and Customer Appointment Programmes, Lot 2 – Repair and Maintenance, and Lot 3 – Mains Rehabilitation and Mains Laying. United Utilities Water – Design Development FrameworkUnited Utilities (UU) is looking to appoint Specialist Design Development Partners (DDP) in order to provide essential design development support to increase capacity, develop outline and, if required, detailed design packages in conjunction with UU. The Specialist DDP will engage in a service contract focused on providing essential resources to develop a high-level solution to outline design, and, if required, detailed designs for design and build, build-only, and rainwater management projects. Severn Trent Water – Water Quality ModellingSevern Trent is procuring specialist consultant support for water quality models assessing the impact of storm overflows to river water quality, from simple to complex models based on performance of overflows and river condition. Severn Trent Water – FM Waste Management TenderSevern Trent Water is procuring waste management services. Waste minimisation is increasingly becoming a focus at Severn Trent as they strive for zero waste, reducing packaging and volumes of waste by using innovation and changing consumer behaviour. Anglian Water – Programme Delivery Partner(s)Anglian Water Services intends to appoint Programme Delivery Partner(s) to support the delivery of its business plans over the next 15 years, including, but not limited to, its capital delivery programme and two Strategic Resource Options (SROs).
