The UK healthcare sector is anything but simple. Although we often think of it as a single industry, in practice, it’s a complex network of highly specialised sub-sectors – ranging from frontline care to construction and facilities management. This results in a steady pipeline of healthcare tenders, offering huge growth potential for suppliers across countless fields.

We understand, however, that navigating through the requirements of the industry, the contract, and the client – particularly in a sector as highly regulated as healthcare – is something even the most experienced companies can find intimidating.

Why choose BWL to support your healthcare tenders?

At BWL Group, we’re dedicated to guiding you through this complex process.

While we predominantly support bids into the construction industry, we are fully versed in delivering winning healthcare tenders. We have a proven track record of providing end-to-end bid writing and management support for a wide variety of healthcare tender submissions; some of our experience includes:

  • Home Care Services for Local Authorities such as Newcastle & Gateshead
  • Generalist Home Care Services for the Borough Council of Gateshead
  • New Hospital Programme Framework for the NHS
  • Facilities Management for Cardiff University Hospitals
  • Building for Wales 2 Framework for the NHS

Drawing on years of industry experience, our senior bid writers have a deep understanding of what evaluators look for when evaluating tender responses. This allows them to read between the lines of specifications and marking schemes and pinpoint crucial evaluation criteria that can often seem hidden or implicit if you don’t have a procurement background. This results in a high-quality and fully compliant tender response that demonstrates exactly what the client wants to see – whether that’s compliant safeguarding procedures,  safer recruitment measures, or alignment with CQC Fundamental Standards, Health Building Notes (HBNs) or Health Technical Memoranda (HTMs).

Tailored bid writing and bid management for healthcare tenders

Our bespoke bid writing and bid management services are designed to take the pressure off your team, so you can concentrate on being experts in your own field.

Our seasoned bid managers can coordinate the bid process from start to finish, managing tight deadlines, complex lot structures, unintuitive tender portals, and overall compliance, based on your needs and preferences.

You’ll work with a senior bid professional as your main point of contact, supported by a wider team of experienced bid writers with the healthcare experience necessary to translate your technical expertise into compelling tender responses.

As part of our bid writing process, we’ll support you with:

  • Gathering and structuring information from your subject-matter experts
  • Storyboarding responses and shaping clear win themes
  • Drafting and refining answers against the scoring criteria
  • Identifying and mapping required evidence (e.g. CVs, case studies)
  • Running final compliance and quality checks before submission
