As part of our continued commitment to building and strengthening relationships across the sectors we support, BWL Group has been represented at two of the UK’s most prominent industry events in recent weeks. Sean Mander, Commercial Director, attended UKREiiF, the UK Real Estate Investment and Infrastructure Forum, whilst Clare Abbott, Bid and Commercial Manager, attended Rail LIVE.

Both events provided the opportunity to meet clients, contractors and industry professionals, and to understand what organisations competing for public and private sector contracts are dealing with.

UKREiiF

Sean attended UKREiiF on Monday 19^th and Tuesday 20^th May in Leeds. UKREiiF brings together people, places, and businesses to drive sustainable, inclusive, and transformative investment and regeneration across UK cities and towns. The event connects developers, investors, local authorities, and decision-makers, facilitating direct connections to emerging projects and regeneration initiatives.

BWL Group supports organisations operating across the real estate and infrastructure sectors in securing contracts and frameworks through bid writing and bid management, whether in construction, regeneration, facilities management, or professional services.

Sean said:

UKREiiF is one of the few events that brings developers, investors and local authorities into the same room, so it is a valuable couple of days for us. The conversations I had reinforced how much appetite there is for regeneration and infrastructure work across the UK, and how much it matters to suppliers that they get their bids right. Meeting contractors in person also helps our team understand exactly what support they need and what hurdles they need to overcome when they come to tender.

Rail LIVE

Clare attended Rail LIVE on Wednesday 17^th June at the Long Marston Rail Innovation Centre. The event attracts exhibitors and professionals from across the rail sector, offering live demonstrations of plant and equipment alongside networking opportunities with contractors, suppliers, and procurement teams.

At BWL Group, we support rail sector suppliers in winning work through compelling, compliant, and competitive bids. Our experience covers areas including rail signalling, track maintenance, specialist resource provision, and vegetation clearance, and our team understands the technical, environmental, and safety standards that need to be addressed in every submission.

“It was great to attend Rail LIVE again after going for the first time last year. Events like these provide the opportunity to make connections in person and to understand what bidding support contractors require. It was also useful for me to see rail solutions, including plant and equipment, on display and being demonstrated, as my team and I write about these within bids. A personal highlight was having a ride on HydroFLEX, the UK’s first hydrogen-powered train, on the test track at the Long Marston Rail Innovation Centre.”
