BWL supports Rhodar Ltd to raise over £10k for WellChild

BWL Group’s CEO, Michael Lee, and Commercial Business Director, Sean Mander, have supported Rhodar Ltd’s epic “Cross-Point Team Challenge”, to raise over £10,000 for WellChild, a charity that gives seriously ill children the best chance to thrive at home.
On Saturday 9th September 2023, the team at BWL Group joined 23 Rhodar staff on the shores of Derwentwater in the Lake District, to take on a gruelling 14-mile trek.
The group was split into two teams which went head-to-head as they raced around Derwentwater lake in opposite directions, battling extreme heat and tackling challenges to earn points, including canoeing, coracle building, hiking, abseiling, and brain-teasers, passing at the halfway point as they raced each other and the clock.
In the end, the Yellow Team (supported by Michael Lee) took the win, with the Orange Team (supported by Sean Mander) taking a close second place. Following the event, one of WellChild’s parent ambassadors gave a moving insight into the incredible support they receive from WellChild and the importance of ongoing fundraising.
